Hi everyone
I guess I'm not the only one missing the Olympics and Paralympics.
It has been absolutely fantastic- especially the Paralympics. I hope there will be more competitions televised in future.
I really regret not applying for tickets now. It's a pity the public can't visit the park now it's over. Apparently work is starting on it . I read in the Evening Standard that they have to honour contracts previously made . Surely they could have built in a couple of weeks for people to see it when the original plans were drawn up?
Idiot that I am , I forgot to set the recorder for the parade on Monday so only got the highlights. Hope they repeat it .
Looking forward to the dvd coming out.

Hi Maria,
It does feel strange turning the tv on and not being able to see the fantastic athletes.
Back to football in my house now.
We've also lost our double decker bus now, back to a single decker, felt very cramped yesterday.
I hope they show a few more competitions on tv in the future.
It's been a fantastic summer, topped by Andy Murray's win.
Well done to everyone!
Mary

Hi, yes we've really enjoyed the olympics in our house, its been good entertainment and fun.
We have got the tour of Britain cyclists coming through our village on Friday morning, so will be pottering down to the main road to see them. It passes right in front of the village school so they are coming out to watch as Bradley Wiggins look alikes!
Loking forward to it!

This is our eldest son-
He got up to see the Olympics and the paraolympics
Thought the closing ceremony to the paraolymPics was fab and the speeches were so good
I loved the bit about young George
